The Certification Committee administers and oversees the Certified Government Finance Officers Program. The committee evaluates and administers the semi-annual certification exams. Requirements for reporting continuing professional education (CPE) are monitored and overseen by the committee.

The Conference Host Committee is responsible for planning the activities of the Annual Conference under the direction of the FGFOA Board. These activities include the President's Reception, the Opening Ceremonies, spouse activities, hospitality, transportation, and Association Night.

The Legislative Committee provides for a geographically-based information network to assist in promoting, sponsoring and opposing proposed legislation before the State Legislature. 2008 Legislative Policy

The Member Services Committee is responsible for initiating and promoting a broadened membership in the organization and renewing existing members on an annual basis to ensure the strength and viability of the organization. The Committee is also responsible for overseeing the publication of the association's newsletter and the annual membership directory. Finally, the Committee is charged with providing the Executive Board research and analysis on various topics as requested by the Executive Board.

The School of Governmental Finance Committee develops and presents seminars each November at various locations throughout Florida. The selected location hosts the School for three years. The School of Governmental Finance is designed to enhance the technical and professional expertise of the Association's members by providing educational training as well as allowing for the exchange of information with their respective peers. The committee coordinates its activities with the Conference Program and the Career Development committees to endure compatibility of seminars and to broaden the common coverage of subjects.
